People need transportation for all types of activities in the lands of Alaska with no roads. We are happy to accommodate all types of adventures, from National Park Passport stamp collecting, to DIY hunting and fishing adventures. If you have something off the beaten path in mind please reach out and I’ll do my best to tell you what I know and make it happen.

Yes. Modern satellite communication has made this easier than ever.

We will set a plan in place ahead of time assuming a worst case of all forms of communication failing with a simple pickup date and time. After that we will often communicate via satellite text on your iPhone or Garmin Inreach your party’s location and plans.

We are authorized by the FAA to carry whatever hazardous materials you group may need for your trip with proper paperwork. It’s rare that something comes up we can’t take unless it isn’t packaged properly. Contact us for more details on specific items.

Popular float trips are Moraine Creek, American Creek, and the Alagnak River. Camping trip locations are honestly close to unlimited. We are always happy to tell you what we know about and area to make sure you have the best trip possible.
Rainbow trout, Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling, Dolley Varden, Arctic Char, Northern Pike, as well as all 5 species of Pacific Salmon can be encountered on a given trip.

Fishing yes. Hunting no. We are not a licensed guide or outfitter and as such cannot give advice about your hunt.

Can be purchased online at the ADF&G website. Digital copies are valid but paper copies are recommended as batteries don’t last forever in the bush.
iPhones 14 or higher can now text via the Starlink network. Other than that, Garmin Inreach’s are invaluable.
It is always best to have a plan in place ahead of time. Know who to contact and have a friend or family member ready to assist. Iphones and Garmin Inreach’s have emergency features to directly alert search and rescue. However, they are often hours away. Often it’s best to contact your air taxi directly as they are best equipped to assist.
For sure. On multiday trips this is always a possibility. For day trips, we generally don’t drop people off on days where we think we won’t be able to pick them up. Always carry raingear and warm clothing and have extra food available.
As of this point no. However Katmai National Park is currently developing a backcountry management plan and may be required in the near future.
All trips are to be paid in full at time of booking. Trips canceled prior to 14 days of travel date will be 100% refunded minus a 5% processing fee. Trips canceled 14 days-48 hours of travel will be 50% refunded. No refunds will be given for cancelations less than 48 hours of travel.
Any flight cancelations by Boreal Air for any reason, including inclement weather, will be 100% refunded.
